India’s Miss World 1966 - India’s

Reita
Faria Powell was the first Indian woman to win
the Miss World title, in 1966. She also won the
Eve's Weekly Miss India contest
on the same year. After her one year tenure of
Miss World title; she refrained from modeling
and films.
Reita Faria concentrated on her medical studies
and became a doctor. She lives in Dublin, Ireland
with her husband David Powell, and has two children
and grandchildren. |

World 1994, India’s Aishwarya Rai
India’s
Aishwarya Rai was crowned the Miss World 1994
on 19 November 1994 at Sun City Entertainment
Center, Sun City, South Africa.
Aishwarya Rai began modeling while pursuing her
studies in architecture. She abandoned her academic
education after winning the Miss World title and
spent one year reigning as Miss World in London.
Rai then started working as a professional model
and then moved on to her current profession as
an actress.
Rai is married to actor Abhishek Bachchan, son
of Amitabh Bachchan the great Indian film actor.

World 1997, India’s Diana Hayden

Diana Hayden
is crowned Miss World 1997, on 22 November 1997,
the pageant held at the Baie Lazare, Seychelles.
Diana has done few modeling projects and also
few movies like Ab Bas, but her career is not
very successful as expected.
Diana moved to the UK and studied acting at
the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. She also
studied at Drama Studio London, where she concentrated
on the works of Shakespeare and earned a Best
Actress nomination from the studio.
Diana Hayden moved to Los Angeles, California
and devoted herself to social causes. In 2008,
Diana Hayden became a wild card entry on the
popular Indian show, Bigg Boss.

Yukta
Mookhey was crowned Miss World 1999 December
4, 1999 at Olympia Hall, London, England. After
winning the Miss World title and spent one year
tenure of Miss World in London.
Yukta
Mookhey’s basic education was inDubai,
U.A.E. for seven years.The family re-located
to Bombay during the year 1986 and she went
on to study in V.G. Vaze College, Mulund, and
obtained a degree in Zoology. Then she has studied
Fine Arts for 3 years; has a diploma in computers
from Aptech. She also learned Hindustani Classical
Music three years. She is married to Prince
Tuli the son of the renowned Bacchitar Singh.
This
gracefully slender in Figure and tall lady ,Yukta
Mookhey entered in to film field a Tamil movie
'Poovellam Un Vasam' in 2001. Her first major
release in Bollywood was the 2002 'Pyaasa' opposite
Aftab Shivdasani. 'Love in Japan' and 'Memsaab'
during the year 2005.

World 2000, India’s - Priyanka Chopra
|
Priyanka Chopra
of India, the fifth Indian Miss World and the
second consecutive winner from her country,
was crowned Miss World on November 30, 2000
at Millennium, London, UK. Priyanka born on
18th July 1982 to Capt. Dr. Ashok Chopra and
Dr. Madhu Chopra.
She was doing modeling and gained fame after
winning the Miss World title and it helped starting
her acting career. Priyanka Chopra is active
in film field from 2002.
Her notable films are Andaaz Waqt, Aitraaz,
Mujse Shaadi Karoge, Barsaat, Yakeen, Karam
etc. Her upcoming movies are Krissh, Don and
Bluff master etc.
“Seven Husbands" is Bharadwaj's next
venture after his acclaimed movie "Kaminey",
which also starred Priyanka. The movie is said
to be co-written by Bharadwaj and author Ruskin
Bond.
