Skin
has several important functions. Defense against germs
and regulating the temperature of the body at a normal
level by the process of perspiration are the two most
important functions. Any small breaks, tears or eruption
in the surface of skin may open the way to infection
with in the skin and in the deeper tissues as well. |

We
can avoid many complications and maintain a healthy
face skin if we can take a little effort for
the skin care. Clean your face well 2-3 times a day
with a good cleanser that your skin
responds well, scrub the face gently, apply moisturizer
/ourishing cream once in a day and protect the skin
from excessive dirt, fumes, hot sun rays, dry or cool
winds etc.

we eat daily is also plays a significant role
in the health of our skin. Whole Grains, Salmon
(oily fish-contain high selenium), Green Tea,
Berries, Carrots, Brazil Nuts, Pomegranate, citrus
fruits, Avocados, Green vegetables are good for
skin and avoid Fast food, fried items, Saturated
Fat and Hydrogenated Oil, excess use of salt,
beverages, alcohol and coffee etc.

For
healthy skin the presence of Antioxidants (includes
Vitamins A, C and E and beta carotene.), Protein, and
Omega 3 are essential. Avoid unnecessary mental strain,
tension; anxieties, worries etc which will badly affect
the health of skin. If you are in the middle age group
and obese, it is better to choose South Beach
Diet.
Regular and moderate
exercise is also improve skin health and benefits better
appearance of your skin. It increases blood circulation
to outer layer of the skin which delivers nutrients,
removes impurities and allows for a restful sleep that
gives the skin a chance to rejuvenate. |

If you observe a skin problem such as unusual skin growth,
unnatural colour change, swelling or oozing, do not
