BEAUTY - Seasonal Skin Care
 
Skin is largest organ of our body. We must understand that our skin is more delicate to weather. Changing weather, our skin also needs special attention and care for the different seasons. We should alter our skin care practices accordingly so that we can properly protect our selves from the ever changing climatic conditions. Let us now take a closer look at how our skin is affected during the summer and winter season
 
 
In summer : In summer season skin requires special attention due to exposure to sun, hot air flow and excess preparation, the skin become clogged and the complexion becomes dull and sallow. Steaming is very beneficial once in a week for oily skins and once in two weeks for dry skins. After 5 minutes of steaming, sprinkle your face with cold water so as to close open pores. Apply a light coat of cream and massage gently, before going to bed.

Drink 8-10 glasses of water every day, and this will not only to replenish moisture lost to the heat and sweat but also to help flush toxins out of the body. Water plays an important role in keeping your skin alive. Add more fruits and vegetables in your daily diet as it also release a lot of water. Apply a thin mixture of red sandalwood powder and rosewater to your skin can help it become more resilient.
 
In winter : The cool winter wind badly affects the skin surface and chapping of skin becomes a common problem especially the in case of dry skin. Icy winds also equally bad and affects the complexion your skin. If the skin is dry minimize the use of soap. Use cold cream and olive oil after through cleaning of face which will reduce the dryness.
 
Tomato and raspberry juice is best suited for facial cleaning. At night, a towel should be drenched in hot water, squeezed and then wipe off the face. After this, massage 10-15 minutes with a skin Nourishing cream mixed with almond oil is found very beneficial. Skin Nourishing creams for day or night can be had from the shops or simply prepare it at your home.
 

 
Avocado night cream

Avocado……………………..1 medium size
Almond oil………………….1 cup
White beeswax (Pastilles)..10 gm
Sodium benzoate…………1/2 tsp

Grate the Avocado and squeeze to get the juice. Mix the juice with the almond oil well. Melt and add the white beeswax and mix well. Massage on face and neck at bed time. Wash it in the morning with lukewarm water. It is especially suitable for dry skin.
